SENIOR STYLE GUIDE

Let's talk outfits!

Show off your unique style in your senior portraits! Let your outfits reflect your love for sports, music, theater, or even your favorite color. I get it—choosing the perfect outfit can be stressful. But trust me, you can’t go wrong with a classic, timeless look.

The big thing? Wear something that makes you feel awesome and comfortable, while still showcasing your personality - maybe a quirky hat, favorite band tee, or those killer sneakers you love.

Bring a variety of outfits, and I can help you pick the winners. Whether it’s your comfy jeans and a tee or the favorite dress you love, having options is key. Solid colors tend to photograph better than stripes and plaids. I recommend skipping words or big logos on clothing, unless you're repping your school. Oh, and a little tip: wrinkle-free clothes make for picture-perfect moments.

Need some inspo? I've got you covered. Check out my Pinterest board for outfit ideas, then get creative, have fun, and let’s make those photos pop!

Hair, Make Up, and Nails!

Alright, let’s talk about your look! Whether you’re a hair and makeup guru or a “less is more” kind of person, the choice is all yours. The key? Make sure you look and feel like you. If you’ve got mad skills with a makeup brush, go for it! Or maybe hire a pro to work some magic. Not into the glam scene? No worries—simple curls and light makeup can be just as stunning. Just remember, some makeup looks better in photos. Avoid too much glitter or powders that cause flashbacks; they can mess with your pics.

Now, let’s talk nails. Keep them clean and chip-free. Neon colors? Maybe save those for another day. Simple and polished is always a win!

MAKE IT YOU

Want to make your portraits as unique as you are? Bring some props! Seriously, they can turn a basic photo into a snapshot of your unique personality. They're perfect for showcasing your interests, achievements, hobbies—basically, your awesome personality.

So, what should you bring? Here are some ideas based on your interests:

  • Athlete: Suit up in your full sports uniform, gear, medals, trophies, or that epic letterman jacket.

  • Dancer: Grab all your old shoes and your favorite leotard for some timeless images!

  • School Spirit: Class t-shirts, school colors, pennants, class ring, cap and gown, yearbook—go all out!

  • Farm Life: Rock those work clothes, a cool hat, maybe even your farm pet, and don’t forget that FFA jacket!

  • Bookworm: How about your favorite book or series? Show off that literary love.

  • Budding Artist: Pack your favorite masterpiece, brushes, paint, or pottery. Let’s create magic!

  • Outdoorsy: Bow, fishing pole, survival gear—show off your wild side.

  • Academic Star: Flash those college offers, spirit wear, and acceptance letters. Brainiac status: confirmed.

  • Pageant Queen: Strut in your gown, sash, crown, and flaunt those ribbons and trophies.

  • Car Enthusiast: Show off your prized car (make sure it’s sparkly clean inside and out).

  • Marching Band: Uniform, instrument, and sheet music—let’s hit the right note!

  • Musician: Your instrument, sheet music, vinyl records, and tour shirts—let’s rock and roll!

So, what are you waiting for? Grab your favorite things and let’s make some magic!
